Vulcanized Rubber: Salt-bath Cure

ELBEX has experience in a variety of rubber extrusion capabilities, including continuous vulcanization lines, also known as a salt bath cure.
Benefits of Salt Bath Curing
Salt bath vulcanization is a widely used liquid curing method to harden rubber. Once lengths of rubber are forced through a die into a desired shape, the product needs to be hardened and cured.
Methods like a salt bath are a desirable way for manufacturing items like tubing, hoses, and weather stripping. Salt is a great choice for curing due to its relatively short-length curing units. It also has good heat exchange properties and can be used at extremely high temperatures. Plus salt does not cause surface oxidation and is easy to clean off with water.
Capabilities of ELBEX
We can manufacture several custom and standard rubber extensions using a wide range of products. Our products are manufactured to meet ASTM, SAE, AMS, military, and RMA specifications and undergo rigorous testing before leaving our facility.
Our team can also perform value-added services such as high-speed auto cutting, punching, slicing, and secondary vulcanization. Besides salt bath curing, ELBEX can also produce Davis-Standard extruders, finished gaskets, and extrusion profiles, cord, tubing, and sheeting to various lengths. But salt bath curing is great for high volume linear rubber curing.
